August 8, 2010

About the ice house project:

Ice House Detroit is an architectural installation and social change project that was just completed by Matthew Radune and Gregory Holm in Detroit, Michigan, during the winter of 2009-2010. One of 20,000 abandoned houses in the city was frozen in solid ice, referencing contemporary urban conditions in the city and beyond. The house was frozen slowly in over a week using a firehose hooked up to the nearest hydrant.
